Lode Runner is one of the
longest running (no pun intended), and most popular, video games
of all time. The object of the game is for you, Jake Peril, to win
back treasures stolen by the Evil Empire. The treasures are guarded
by Mad Monks with bad attitudes. Originally titled "Kong" (because
of similarities to Donkey Kong) Lode Runner was developed by Doug
Smith in 1983. The legendary game Lode Runner was a best-selling
on the Apple II and became one of the most popular video games on
several other platforms - Commodore 64, Turbo Grafx-16, and Nintendo,
to name a few. Its challenging, addictive gameplay not only made
it a success, but also a classic in video game history. There was
various iterations of Lode Runner: Championship Lode Runner, Lode
Runner: The Legend Returns and The Mad Monks' Revenge.

Fatman Advetures is a fun remake of classic arcade game Lode
Runner aka LodeRunner. The game puts you in control
of a real cute creature named Fatman who is, to say, not
that fat and definitely far from being lazy. A devoted treasure
hunter, Fatman discovers a mystery forest mentioned in ancient
legends as both dangerous and promising spot for an adventurer
like him or like classic Lode Runner. On his way to collecting
all the treasure of the sacred woods Fatman will have to face cruel
monsters guarding precious diamonds and rubies. |

Gold Sprinter is a fun remake to the classical arcade game Lode
Runner. The core gameplay has remained the same: Gold Sprinter
runs around a level gathering gold and eluding monsters. The player can
dig holes to trap monsters. Once all the gold has been collected
the player can come through a portal to the next level - a seemingly
easy goal that turns out not so easy to achieve. The way to glory
is swarmed with annoyingly stubborn enemies whose only passion is
their stash. This game contains high quality rendered 3D graphics
(true color) and animation, great ambient music and fun sound effect.

In the Hairy Harry game you can remember old Lode Runner:
control a little funny man called Harry. He was sent to prison
by the unjust law and has to escape to prove that he is not guilty...
To escape the prison Harry must pass through all its levels. At
the end of each level there is a steel door.
To open this door Harry must collect the keys to all its locks. The number of
keys left you can see in the information panel at the bottom of the screen. In
addition to the steel doors there are also secret stairs that also open Harry
the way to freedom as soon as he collects all keys. The prison guards and specially
trained rats will pursuit Harry on his way to freedom trying to prevent him from

Lode Doomer is a variety of legendary Lode Runner, but enemies
here are smarter than in the original game! Various monsters will
pursue your superhero on many levels! A timer will ruthlessly count
out time before an explosion! Good reflexes, sharp wit, playing skill
are needed to help the hero collecting all bombs on the screen in
order to get access to the next stage. The game has beautiful graphics
and nice music. |
